Kathryn Gray

Kathryn Gray is co-owner of Twin Oaks Valley Winery, City of San Marcos only winery.  Kathryn, and her husband, Malcolm, moved to San Marcos in 2016 from the San Francisco Bay Area.  Although new to the San Marcos area Kathryn brings a lot of experience to the Friends Board.  Kathryn was very active in her community, providing support guidance and leadership serving on the Milpitas Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Commission, Founding Member of the Milpitas Parks and Recreation Foundation, Commissioner for the Milpitas Police Athletic League (PAL) Soccer, and as a member on Parent Advisory Boards.   

 

In 2007 Kathryn led the effort to establish the Milpitas Parks and Recreation Foundation, a non-profit in support of the Milpitas Parks and Recreation programs and facilities.  Prior to her Foundation work, Kathryn was selected to represent her community as a Board Member on the Milpitas Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Commission. During her time on the Commission she also served as Chairperson and Vice-Chair.

 

Kathryn and Malcolm have two beautiful children, Michael, 27 years old, lives in Los Angeles, and Madeline, 23 years old, lives in Denver, CO.   When Michael and Madeline were young, Kathryn was very active at their school and with their after school activities.  Kathryn was Parent Teacher Group President, Vice President, Athletic Booster Club Member, and side-line Cheerleader.  

 

Kathryn Gray has a Bachelors degree in Business Administration: Accounting from San Diego State University. She enjoys San Diego's sunny days outdoors, hiking (love, love, love the trails in San Marcos), walking on the beach, and working in the vineyard.
